Mischief Managed - dispatching late January - self striping sock yarn with 20g mini skein

Stripey Cat Yarns 3

Regular price £30.00

Mischief Managed is a bold, Harry Potter–inspired self-striping sock yarn designed for knitters who like their magic with a little edge. Deep inky black stripes alternate with high-energy neon speckled sections, creating a dramatic, playful contrast that knits up into perfectly coordinated stripes.

Inspired by the Marauder’s Map and late-night Hogwarts adventures, this colorway balances dark mischief with flashes of enchanted color. The neon speckles glow against the darker base, making each stripe feel alive with movement and magic.

Mischief Managed is a self striping sock yarn which stripes as follows when you knit;

Black
Green & blue speckled stripe
Black
Neon pink & orange speckled stripe
Black
Purple and blue speckled stripe

Available to order on the following yarn bases:

100g Merino/Nylon - 100g 75% superwash merino 25% nylon (100g/400m fingering weight)

50g Merino/Nylon - 50g 75% superwash merino 25% nylon (50g/200m fingering weight)

The self striping yarn comes with a 20g speckled black mini skein to knit contrasting heels, toes & cuffs. This will be sent to you on the same base as the main skein.

I first released this colourway in the summer of 2020 in limited quantities. I'm happy to be bringing it back to the shop. There's enough stupid rules in this silly year.. this colourway is the one which is most requested & I want to spread a little joy where I can :-)

Based on gauge of 10 stitches per inch you will get 2-3 rows per stripe. I used a 2.5mm needle & knitted my sock using the 75% sw merino/25% nylon base.

The yarn is hand dyed in small batches with professional dyes in a smoke-free environment.

All yarns are sent out in a skein/hank.

Though this yarn is washable, I recommend hand-washing your finished object with a wool wash such as euculan. Minimal colour bleeding may occur during the first few washes, so please wash apart from other items.

Feel free to send a message if you have any questions!
